About the role:

  • Administer and monitor daily and monthly Exchange Platform operating systems

  • Lead end-to-end marketing and play an important role in the value proposition development, branding, Go-To-Market strategy and delivery of new growth programs and campaigns.

Head of Compliance

Location: Melbourne

About the role:

  • Report to CEO regarding any significant risk and compliance issues, and work with law firms and regulators to mitigate and control the risk.
  • Work with internal and external legal teams, accounting firms, regulators and other stake holders to conduct compliance applications, monitoring, risk management, reporting and etc.
  • Establish a solid relationship with various regulators. Ensure consistent communication with regulators, enforcements and other related parties about compliance questions or requests.
  • Ensure the Business Unit (BU) is aware of the legislation, regulatory requirements and associated controls to manage its regulatory risk.
  • Track regulatory issues and review the BU's remediation plans for effectiveness and timely implementation.
  • Report on existing and emerging regulatory compliance issues and risks to Compliance and BU management/executives.
  • Assist with response to regulatory inquiries, examinations and investigations as applicable.
  • Monitor new and proposed regulatory changes and assess impacts to the BU, as well as performing management of the regulatory library as required.
  • Develop specialized training material on new regulations, regulatory changes or trends for BU areas as required.
  • Assist with drafting of key Compliance documents including mandates, policies and associated procedures as required, ensuring appropriate coordination with stakeholders.

Skills and experience:

  • 2 or more years directly relevant investment industry experience, preferably with an IIROC member firm, in a compliance role or other relevant functional area (e.g. trading, operations, sales, audit).
  • Hands-on experience with MSB license application, KYC/AML compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with Broker/Dealer license application and compliance requirements.
  • Well established relationship and connections with different regulators among multiple jurisdictions, such as OSC, BCSC, ASC and AMF.
  • Understanding of crypto and blockchain business.
